DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Boston University Superfund Research Program (BU SRP)\, we would like to make you aware of a webinar on Thursday\, March 28th\, at 1PM EST that is different from typical webinars on storm preparation and clean up: \nClimate Change and Toxic Hazards: After the Storm: \nhttps://www.healthandenvironment.org/webinars/96478 \nThis is the final webinar in a 3-part series on climate change\, toxic hazards\, and how to prepare to protect public health before\, during\, and after a superstorm or flood.  Speakers in this webinar will address the range of issues communities face after a storm with a focus on preventing exposures to toxic substances that have been unleashed by the flood into the air water and soil.  What’s the best cleanup process after a major storm or flooding event? What’s the best way to protect people during that process?  How do people deal with home and business contamination? What are the roles of individuals\, agencies\, businesses\, governments? How do we deal with aging infrastructure? If there are existing hazardous waste sites in the region\, how can they be contained in the aftermath?
